Update on September School Holidays (Secondary 4 Students)

Dear Secondary 4 Parents/ Guardians/ Students,

Update on September School Holidays (Secondary 4 Students)

Due to the upcoming Presidential Election in Singapore, the government made changes to the public and school holidays. San Yu Adventist School (SYAS) has also made the following changes to the school calendar and students DO NOT need to attend school on the following day:

1. 1 Sep, Friday, is now Polling Day and a public holiday.
2. 11 Sep, Monday, is this year’s Teachers’ Day and a school holiday.*

*However, in order not to disrupt the schedule of the Secondary 4 (S4) Preliminary Examination, all S4 students will report to school on 11 Sep, Monday, to sit for the English paper 2 and Additional Mathematics paper 1. All students should be seated in their classes 15 minutes before the commencement of the English paper on 11 Sep.

We hope our S4 will use the September holidays well to revise their work and God bless.

Update on September School Holidays (Primary 1 to Secondary 3 Students)

The term 3 school holidays will commence on Polling Day (Friday, 1 Sep) and we look forward to welcoming our students back to SYAS on Tuesday, 12 Sep.

2023 Parent-Teacher Conference (PTC) via ZOOM Conference on Thursday, 25 May 2023

Dear Parent/Guardian,

Please see attached the PTC letter dated 11 May 2023.

SYAS has scheduled a PTC for our teachers to meet, update and discuss with you the performance and progress of your child/ward via Zoom. Therefore, you can book a preferred time slot to meet up with the form teacher or subject teachers (who are not form teacher of other classes) of your child/ward for the PTC session via Asknlearn Portal.

Closing date for booking: 20 May 2023

Please refer to the PTC letter dated 11 May 2023 for more information and detailed instructions for booking a preferred time slot to meet with the teachers.

Please also be informed that teachers' ZOOM meeting ID number and password and other details will be available on Asknlearn Portal from 22 May 2023 onwards. Refer to Guide on how to install ZOOM.
