Attendance and Timetable

  1.   On campus

Students are to report to school as normal, before 8am and they will follow their current timetable.

  1.  During HBL

Students will follow their regular timetable on the days that they participate in full HBL.  Form teachers will mark attendance and engage students from 8am.  As per usual practice, a mixture of online and offline learning will be assigned by subject teachers according to the same timetable.  Task instructions for students will be released on Monday, 28 June, at 7.30am.

Safe Management Measures

We would like to seek fullest cooperation from parents and guardians to keep students at home if they show flu-like symptoms.  Students who are unwell need to seek medical advice immediately.  We can all play an important role to keep the school safe by exercising social responsibility.

Students are reminded to bring the TraceTogether token or download the TraceTogether app for entry into SYAS.

Regular temperature screenings and sanitising of hands in the morning will continue to be carried out at the main gate upon entry.  Students will be reminded to uphold good hygiene standards and to take their temperatures after their breaks.  School facilities will also be cleaned and sanitised daily, especially high touch surfaces.

Caring for Humanity

To show care for fellow human beings in this pandemic, SYAS has been carrying out a number of projects in demonstration of Christian love and solidarity since last year.  This year, the school has decided to donate a sum of four thousand and two hundred dollars budgeted for the National Day celebration and souvenirs to the Singapore Red Cross, with the purpose of helping people in India affected by Covid-19.

We would like our students to donate towards this worthy cause too.  Students are encouraged to pass their donations to their form teachers by 9 July.

In conclusion, we give thanks to God for His love and protection.  Stay safe and God bless.

Yours faithfully,

SYAS Administration
